A scheduled time window (used by ChatGPT's parental controls and similar tools) when an app can't be used at all — typically set for overnight or school hours.
How kids use it
Late-night use is when emotionally-distressed teens reach out to AI and apps; a sleep-hours Quiet Hours window is the single highest-leverage setting.
Good news — "Quiet Hours" is a protective feature, not a threat. The catch with platform safety features is that most ship OFF by default, or only half-configured.
