Roblox Kids Account
One of two new age-based Roblox account tiers launched in June 2026. The Kids tier (ages 5–8) restricts chat, friend requests, and the game library to curated, age-appropriate experiences. The Select tier (ages 9–15) unlocks more games and communication options. Both are managed through a parent's own linked Roblox account, replacing the older under-13 / over-13 split.
If your younger child plays Roblox, they were likely moved into the Kids tier automatically if they signed up with their real birthday. You manage it from your own Roblox account rather than through the child's device settings.
Is “Roblox Kids Account” something to worry about?
Good news — "Roblox Kids Account" is a protective feature, not a threat. The catch with platform safety features is that most ship OFF by default, or only half-configured.
- Turn it on deliberately and re-check it after big app updates — settings occasionally reset or move.
