6-7

Deliberately vague slang — its appeal is partly that adults don't know what it means. It spread from a 2025 song by rapper Skrilla and went wider when NBA player LaMelo Ball (who is 6'7" tall) started using it in videos. The meaning is intentionally left open: theories include 'so-so,' a street reference, and a shrug gesture. Dictionary.com flagged it as a notable term; regional trackers listed it as Florida's most common slang in August 2026.

How kids use it

If your kid says something is '6-7' or makes a flat hand going up and down, it is roughly the same as 'meh.' The vagueness is the whole point — it is a generational inside marker, not a code for anything harmful.

Is “6-7” something to worry about?

No — "6-7" is ordinary 2026 teen vocabulary, not a warning sign. Knowing it just makes you harder to talk past.
