How kids use it
The euphemism exists to slip keyword filters, so it turns up exactly where the explicit word would be blocked: “spicy acc” in a bio, “spicy link in bio” on TikTok and Instagram, a #spicy channel on Discord, or “wanna see something spicy?” as a DM opener. On Instagram and TikTok it is often the tell that an account funnels to paid content somewhere else.
"spicy" signals sexual content or conversation. For a teen, some of this is normal curiosity — the parent question is whether it involves strangers, pressure, or content aimed at them by adults.
