Hyper-fixation

An intense, all-consuming focus on one topic, person, or activity that becomes central to a teen's daily life. Often appears as obsessive engagement with a show, game, or creator. Important for parents to recognize because extreme hyper-fixation can signal avoidance behavior, anxiety, or (in rare cases) signs of depression or other mental-health needs.
